As the Elder Care Coordinator, my job is to promote and maintain the health, safety, well-being, and quality of life for our senior clients. Specifically, I see that these three objectives of our client care are met:

  1. Ensure the senior gets great care, whether at home or in a residential community, to maintain the quality of life they desire;
  2. Locate public and private sources to help pay for long-term care while resolving issues created by the high cost of care; and
  3. Offer peace of mind that results when the right choices are made to ensure loved ones are safe and getting the right care while preserving family resources.

I do this by educating, supporting, and advocating for our clients and their families as they navigate the long-term care system.

I developed a true passion for working with seniors and their families as a discharge planner with St. Vincent’s Hospital. Coordinating the services and equipment a patient must have to go home, while very satisfying, left me longing to maintain my relationship with my patients and follow them after they left the hospital. Now I have the perfect job because I am a member of the care team with my patients and their family on their journey.

I am a licensed graduate social worker with a Master’s Degree in social work from the University of Alabama.
